Jordan Williams claims Dominican Rep. TBS Hoops Agents weekly honour- May 10, 2021
The 28-year old shooting guard had the game-high 38 points adding nine rebounds for Huellas in his team's victory, helping them to beat El Million (#5, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 101-87. Huellas is placed at 3rd position in Dominican Rep. TBS. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Huellas won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He just recently signed at Huellas and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. University of North Texas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is league's best scorer averaging so far 38.0ppg. Williams is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 4.0spg,72.7% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old American Paris Bass (203-SF-95) of league's best team Barias. Bass impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Barias cruised to a 88-78 relatively comfortable win over San Carlos (0-2). His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Bass is one of the most experienced players at Barias and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.5ppg (#2). He also registered 10.0 boards per game. The third best performed player last round was another Huellas' star - Richard Bautista (187-PG-97). Bautista showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, five rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was another key player of Huellas, helping his team with a 101-87 easy win against El Million (#5, 0-1). Huellas has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Bautista also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Bautista as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader. Other top performing players last week: 4.
